This Oriental Poppy has large flowers that grow on long hairy stems that emerge from neat clumps of foliage. The petals are rich crimson red, with a splash of black in the centre. After the flowers have died, they are followed by large pepper pot seedheads, that bring interest to the garden border in late summer and autumn. Poppy 'Beauty of Livermere' is also a good plant for wildlife gardens and will attract bees and other pollinating insects. Height: 90cm (35"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant poppies in a sunny position in moist, well drained soil, working some well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until plants are fully established. Leave faded flowers in place; the dried seed heads make an attractive late summer feature, and birds will appreciate the seeds as food. In autumn, remove old foliage and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
