Floriferous, easy-to-grow and drought tolerant, Gaillardia 'Arizona Apricot' produces stunning, sunny yellow blooms with a soft orange blush at the centre. Flowering all summer and well into the autumn these vibrant perennials make an outstanding cut flower and return year after year. Grow this dwarf blanket flower in mixed and herbaceous borders, or in patio containers. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up blanket flower plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions. When Gaillardia plants are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days, and transplant into borders and containers on any well drained soil.

Feed and water occasionally until gaillardia plants are fully established. Deadhead faded Gaillardia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In late summer, cut back old foliage and flower stems to 15cm (6") to encourage basal growth before the first frosts. In spring, lift and divide overcrowded clumps of gaillardia and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.

Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
