A striking ornamental shrub, this Conus alba, the Siberian Dogwood, forms a thicket of upright red stems. It has green foliage with oval leaves during spring and summer. Recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators', bees and butterflies are attracted to the clusters of lovely soft pink flowers that appear in from late spring to mid-summer. These are followed by black berries that will attract birds. In autumn the leaves take on fiery red hues before dropping to fully reveal the stems, which change from red to an intense scarlet during the winter. Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience.
