The colouring of this weigela is certainly unusual, with rich dark green foliage that takes on hints of deep purple as the summer progresses, it's a delightfully compact, low growing, spreading flowering shrub that will bring you months of colour with the most beautiful leaves and flowers. The foliage forms a wonderfully contrasting backdrop for the red-throated, white trumpet shaped flowers that covers the stems in early summer, great for livening up the front of the border and will also do well in pots. Recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators' the flowers a favourite with butterflies and bees.
