Neem Oil for Orchids

Pure cold-pressed neem oil — a natural, systemic insecticide and fungicide safe for use on hardy garden orchids. Treats spider mites, aphids, scale insects, and common fungal problems without harming the delicate root systems or beneficial soil organisms.

Terrestrial orchids form important symbiotic relationships with soil fungi (mycorrhizae). Many synthetic pesticides destroy these relationships and can permanently weaken the plant. Neem oil disrupts insect life cycles and surface fungal growth without penetrating the soil ecosystem.

Mix 5ml per litre of water with a few drops of liquid soap as an emulsifier. Apply as a foliar spray in the early morning or evening, avoiding direct sunlight. Repeat every 10–14 days during active pest pressure. Not harmful to bees when dry.
